The Centre for Women, Youth and Community Action (NACWYCA), through its Food Security and Malaria Prevention (FSM) Project team, conducted a Monitoring and Supervision Visit (MSV) across three Local Government Areas in Nasarawa State on Friday, 18th September 2026.
The visit covered Kokona, Akwanga and Wamba LGAs, with the project team monitoring ongoing activities designed to support beneficiaries and strengthen food security within participating communities.
The NACWYCA FSM Project team, comprising the Project Coordinator, Referral Officer and Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, visited communities to assess the implementation of key project activities, including livestock initiatives, home gardens and communal farms.
The communities visited included Angwan Loko in Garaku, Gudi and Arum Sarki.

Engaging Communities and Addressing Challenges
As part of the monitoring exercise, the team held meetings with caregivers and Community Case Workers across the communities visited.
These engagements provided an opportunity to discuss the progress of project activities, identify challenges being experienced by beneficiaries and community-level workers, and explore appropriate solutions to improve implementation.
The discussions also reinforced the importance of regular engagement with communities to ensure that project activities remain responsive to the needs of beneficiaries.

Strengthening Health Facility Partnerships
Beyond the community-level monitoring, the project team also visited health facilities as part of the supervision exercise.
These visits focused on strengthening collaboration, building stronger partnerships and supporting improved service delivery to beneficiaries within the project communities.
Collaboration between community structures and health facilities remains an important part of ensuring that beneficiaries can access the support and services they need.

Strengthening Implementation Through Routine Monitoring
The Monitoring and Supervision Visit forms part of NACWYCA’s routine monthly activities aimed at ensuring effective implementation of project interventions and quality service delivery to beneficiaries.
Through regular monitoring, community engagement and collaboration with relevant stakeholders, NACWYCA continues to identify implementation challenges, support practical solutions and strengthen the delivery of project activities at the community level.
The September MSV reflects NACWYCA’s continued commitment to working closely with communities, caregivers, Community Case Workers and health facilities to support effective implementation of the Food Security and Malaria Prevention Project.
