The Centre for Women, Youth and Community Action (NACWYCA) has formally welcomed Mrs. Enaroreje Augustina as its Acting Executive Director following an official handing-over ceremony held in Lafia, Nasarawa State.
The transition marks a new phase in the leadership of the organisation, which continues to implement programmes focused on women and youth empowerment, leadership development and community action.
Speaking during the ceremony, the Nasarawa State Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Dr. Nawani Aboki, called on non-governmental organisations to continue rendering humanitarian services that complement the efforts of the Nasarawa State Government in providing quality services to citizens.
Dr. Aboki encouraged the new Acting Executive Director to maintain close collaboration with non-governmental organisations and government as she assumes her new responsibilities.
He expressed confidence in Mrs. Enaroreje's competence and experience, encouraging her to build on the achievements of NACWYCA and sustain the organisation's programmes and initiatives.
The former NACWYCA boss also emphasised the importance of teamwork and mutual understanding within the organisation, urging staff to work together and support the new leadership.
He further called on members of staff, partners and other stakeholders of NACWYCA to give the Acting Executive Director the necessary support and cooperation to enable her to effectively discharge her responsibilities.
New Acting Executive Director Pledges Commitment
In her response, Mrs. Augustina Enaroreje appreciated Dr. Nawani Aboki for his leadership and for the confidence reposed in her.
She pledged to work closely with NACWYCA staff, partners and other stakeholders to advance the vision and objectives of the organisation.
The Acting Executive Director reaffirmed the organisation's commitment to empowering women, developing young people and strengthening communities, while working collaboratively with stakeholders to further advance its programmes and impact.
The leadership transition comes as NACWYCA continues its longstanding work in supporting women, young people and communities through empowerment, leadership development and community-focused initiatives.
